Privacy policy

The short version

SeatSorted runs entirely in your browser. Your seating plan — tables, guest names, event details — is stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never sent to or stored on our servers. We don't have accounts, so we don't hold names, emails, or passwords for you.

Your seating plan and guest list

Everything you enter in the planner stays on your device, in your browser's localStorage. Clearing your browser data deletes it; we couldn't recover it — or read it — even if you asked, because we never receive it. If you use a shared or public computer, clear your browser data when you're done.

Shared plan links

If you create a shareable link or QR code for your plan, the plan data is encoded into the link itself — not uploaded to a server. Anyone you give the link to can see the guest names and table assignments it contains, so share it only with people who should see your chart.

What our servers do see

Like any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical data to deliver pages — such as your IP address and the page requested — and may keep short-lived logs for security and performance. This is ordinary web traffic, not your plan content.

Fonts and all other assets are served from our own domain — no third-party hosts receive requests when you load a page.

Analytics and cookies

We don't use advertising trackers and we don't sell data. If we add analytics, it will be privacy-friendly, aggregate-only measurement (page views, referrers) without cross-site tracking, and we'll update this page. We don't set cookies for tracking.

Email

If you email us at hello@seatsorted.com, we'll have your email address and whatever you wrote. We use it only to reply and keep it only as long as the conversation needs.
